Dry wall blocks
Dry wall blocks are our most popular retaining wall solution due to their look and cost-effectiveness. These walls are constructed with no mortar and placed on solid foundations. Backfill and Adept's drainage system are important components of constructing dry block retaining walls - See Adept's Drainage.
Shotcrete retaining walls
Reinforced Shotcrete retaining walls are an ideal and very cost effective solution for retaining sub floor areas where there is soil erosion which jeopardises your foundations or areas around your property where access can be difficult. Backfill and Adept's drainage system are important components when constructing shotcrete retaining walls - See Adept's Drainage.
These retaining walls are created by spraying a special mix of high strength concrete onto a hillside or slope. The benefits of Shotcrete retaining walls are that the soil is stabilised, minimising both erosion and runoff onto you subfloor walls and building.
Brick retaining walls are often used when owners require a uniformed look to match existing brick work. They are most effective when kept as low as possible. Backfill and Adept's drainage system are important components of building brick retaining walls - see Adept's Drainage.
Concrete retaining walls
Concrete retaining walls can be constructed from Dry wall blocks and Crib walls. The advantage of concrete retaining walls is in their strength, durability, resistance to fire and rot, flexibility in design, low maintenance and ease of installation. Backfill and Adept's drainage system are important components of building concrete retaining walls - see Adept's Drainage.
Besser block walls
Reinforced concrete block retaining walls are often used where retaining walls are positioned close to the building or need to support a building, for both residential and commercial properties. Backfill and Adept's drainage system are important components of building concrete walls. These retaining walls are built from large hollow concrete blocks, steel reinforcing bars and concrete core filled. A Besser block wall construction is structurally strong and long lasting. Backfill and Adept's drainage system are important components of constructing Besser block walls - see Adept's Drainage.
Timber retaining walls
Timber retaining walls are NOT recommended due to a wide load area, putting pressure on posts causing walls to collapse or lean over a period of time. Treated pine rots therefore does not provide longevity.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Chemical injection was never designed for permanent foundation stabilisation, it was designed for temporary slab support only. There is NO substitute for concrete which is the ONLY way to guarantee your issues are resolved permanently the first time. Read Pro's and Con's
